Persecuted for Christ

AUGUST 12

“All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” -2 TIMOTHY 3:12 ESV

Persecution should come as no surprise to those who seek first the Kingdom of God, because that kind of singlehearted pursuit for things Above will only antagonize those earthly-minded folk who cannot comprehend that level of Righteousness where Jesus is really All and Everything.

Persecution for the sake of that all-encompassing Righteousness, that universal dominion of Christ on His Throne, is the best proof we could possibly give that we really are kings and priests. The depth of our sufferings reveals the depth of our relationship with God, and if our suffering is light then our relationship is certainly shallow. When we can take up the Cross daily and follow after Christ then the centurions of this world will be able to look at us and say, “Surely this person is a son or daughter of God. Not only do they represent Him with their life, they represent Him with their death.”

As Christ believers, make our light shine for the world to see for His goodness and love displayed as He reached out through us. Truly once we’re persecuted it means Christ is seen in us. So, we must fight the good fight as long as we are here on earth. Persecutions must not let us down. Let’s continue on our faith let come what may. Everyday in life we must struggle from persecutions and other problems we encounter because as long as we’re with God, we’re always victorious. Glory to God!

Persecution cannot be compared to the resulting revelation of God’s love in Christ when we by His grace endure it with our eyes on Him alone. Thanks for sharing!!

In my experience my persecution comes from those still in the institutional churches.I’m persecuted by many, because I no longer attend Egypt and the man made temple, that the Lord called me out of several years ago.For me that’s the persecution that’s the hardest to bare. The world’s persecution is expected because the world didn’t like Jesus and the world won’t like those that believe and follow Him.The world think’s believer’s in Christ are self righteous, they don’t see His righteousness in us,that’s why true unconditional Love is so important because Love cast out fear.We the church need’s to go the extra mile to truly Love those of the world with our actions and deed’s of compassion,so the Love of the Father will go abroad. That can only happen when we keep our lamp stand full of oil that the Holy Spirit fills generously.

You have such a way of saying these profound things as if it’s a “no-brainer”. What a gift! Very powerful–a bullseye, every time! Praise God for His gifts!

    Thank you!
    Blessings, and Al 4 Jesus!

Dear Mario and fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Remember always….. It is never “the Messenger” as much as “the Message” that truly counts. This is possible for us all only through the Holy Spirit. To God be the Glory now and forever for His Words, NOT ours. Your Brother in this School of Christ. In His Love. Timothy.

True….yet His messengers are those that are persecuted most often and a show of love and encouragement from those who cherish the message can be a balm to the soul. But yes, praises and glory to God and the Word of God for the message and the messenger. Thank you Chip and Timothy.
